Organization Norms
Drafted by the Board starting 1/16/2021. Sent to members and supporters for input on 5/9/2021.
Updated and approved by the Board on 5/15/2021.
We respect one another and we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, differences in ability, race, age, nationality, or religious affiliation. We speak respectively and listen attentively.
We strive to create a fair, equitable, and productive structure for meetings.
We are responsive and follow-through with one another.
Everyone can share their opinion but there is a transparent process for reaching decisions.
We make new people, and those who have less power or privilege, feel welcome and empowered.
The Board continually evaluates these norms and the organization’s ability to uphold them.
